Our Goal
To provide a horse riding experience that allows individuals to fulfil their goals and passions with horses from a quiet hack in the countryside to the thrill of racing a thoroughbred on the gallops.  

Our Approach
We work to provide an adult rider and training experience with a difference. Riding safe and well mannered horses we offer customer relaxation and delight with leisure riding in an area of outstanding natural beauty. For rider skill development we are committed to providing instruction for general, competitive and race riding with special coaching for nervous rider anxiety management. We deliver our instruction and coaching in a professional, informative, encouraging and non confrontational environment. 

Background of Holistic Horses Owner - Lisa Venables
After qualifying as a riding instructor (BHSAI) at Wellington Riding (Hampshire) aged 19, Lisa actively taught at both Wellington and as a freelance instructor while completing a National Diploma in the Management of Thoroughbred horses at West Oxfordshire College.  At 21, Lisa entered the racing industry working firstly as a stable girl for Henrietta Knight and Martin Pipe and then moving on to be Travelling Head Girl for Andy Turnell.  Lisa's skills in equine facility management were fined tuned in the yard/business offices of Andy Turnell, Charles Egerton, Brian Meehan and John Hills.

Starting out young on her sisters horses ....	Lisa spent most of her youth show jumping ponies...	Since the age of 21 Lisa has worked with racehorses

Following a bad riding accident in mid 1990's, Lisa decided to go traveling and while doing so studied a number of human relaxation and self-awareness modalities.  She returned to England in 2002 and started working on techniques combining riding instruction and the relaxation methods studied to assist people in riding horses more effectively, overcoming rider anxiety and to enjoy sharing the emotional sensitivity of horses. 

Our Instructor Team 
We have some great teachers delivering both lessons and 1-2 day clinics. They are all extremely professional, with the rare ability to be able to enjoy teaching all kinds of rider and horse, producing positive results in an informative and encouraging environment.

Tuition Range: General, BHS and Jumping Lessons  Specialist Area: Nervous Riders, Race Riding Instruction, Point to Pointer Training Lisa has trained as a BHSAI and has considerable experience teaching a wide range of riders on all types of horses.  Her own experience of regaining her enjoyment and skill with horses after a serious race-riding accident enables Lisa to provide insightful and confidence boosting instruction especially to nervous riders.  More information on nervous rider clinics at Holistic Horses		Tuition Range: Jumping lessons, Race Riding, Gallops Sessions  Specialist Area: Jump & Race Riding Clinics Richard is an ex UK champion jump jockey. Knowledge and skills built during his professional racing career provide excellent insight for all riders for improved jumping position and technique.  Richard also delivers specialist pony racing and race riding clinics for  Holistic Horses. Customers with relevant experience can also book a training or leisure session on the Lambourn gallops with Richard as the escorting instructor.    More information on jump and race riding clinics with Richard Dunwoody at Holistic Horses		Tuition Range: General, BHS and Jumping Lessons  Specialist Area: BHS Training    Patrick is a FBHS Instructor and  the chairman of the BHS.
