4 YO REGISTERED CONNEMARA A superb horse that will make fab competion/hunting type connemara. Snaffle mouthed, good to box, shoe, hack out. Has hunted, show jumped, dressage, x-country schooled. Hacked out lots, used as a lead horse and for stage 2/3 students in the school.

MURPHY Murphy has been with us on working livery for three years. A great jumping cob who has hunted with the Old Berks. Great to hack out - snaffle mouthed. Works in an outline in the school and jumps for FUN!! Would suit family looking for a fun all rounder - able to carry dad but easy enough to take to PC camp and rallies. Ideal type of first horse but not for the really nervous as would take the mickey, allbeit in a very safe way, if not shown who is boss place occassionally!

Horse Sales Policy
All horses sold from Holistic Horses are genuine sound horses. Most of the horses are used in the riding school and
all horses can be viewed, ridden, and hacked out at a
time to suit you. They are all open to vet and sold with a full warranty giving
you total peace of mind when buying.
Some horses come back within a
six week time period after being sold - horses don't always settle in new homes
or sometimes they don't suit the new rider, so they are always welcome back to
find new homes again. Private sale horses are not the
property of Holistic Horses Ltd but are at livery for the purpose of being sold.
All private sale horses are also open to vet. Further sales information and

I think it's important to be realistic with the price of horses and I am finding an increasing number of people looking for the following - 15hh to 15.2hh, between the age of 7 and 11, safe, sensible, good in traffic etc. priced between £1500 and £3500. In my experience the market value for such a horse that is 100% genuine and sound would be £6000 plus. With any kind of breeding and looks and hunted .... add more.
£3500 - £4750 will buy you an nice young half bred type horse, that has been broken properly and will probably be 4 y o - a well bred registered Connemara for example will cost £6000+, an equivalent 8 y o with successful competition history will cost you closer to £9000+.
If you do not have the funds and still want an nice gentle horse please find an older horse 15+ from a private family. They maybe a little stiff and you may have to feed a joint supplement but you will have far more fun and be safer. I unfortunately rarely have this type of horse to sell unless it is a school horse. Please do not buy yourself a 4 y o if you want safety. At 5 y o they become 'teenagers' and if you are novice or nervous you are likely to fall into problems - this can be combated by keeping your horse at a good livery yard with a professional rider to help you.
Private sale horses are not the property of Holistic Horses Ltd but horses that are at livery to be sold. I ask all clients buying horses from my yard to get them vetted and ensure the vet takes a blood test.
