I like to find my horses the best homes where they will be loved and well treated.  
Please be aware these horses are only available to genuine homes.

All horses sold are genuine horses.  School horses and Riding horses are sold with a 6 week buy back or exchange guarantee.  There is no exchange or buy back guarantee on Competition horses or 4 year olds.  We ask all purchasers to get a full vetting and blood test before taking off site.  Private sale horses are not the property of Holistic Horses and do not come with a guarantee.  We suggest client try the horses fully and  obtain a full vetting before purchase.  Please note, at any time up to signing a deposit or sale agreement, Holistic Horses has the right to refuse a sale if they feel the horse and rider combination or the future home for the horse is unsuitable.

Charity has been in the school for about six months now.  She has been an excellent hack and great in the school.  She has been used for first time novices to more experienced riders and is a superb school horse. 

She has hunted twice this season with a novice rider in a snaffle and was great on both occasions.

She continues to be extremely useful in the school and we're in no rush to sell but she's there if your looking and can't find what you want.

Denzil is a lovely natured gelding with fabulous floating paces and a great attitude to his work.   Denzil was sent to us to be broken and ridden away in the autumn.  His flatwork is excellent because he is naturally balanced in walk trot and canter.  He has wonderful paces and as one would expect with his breeding he is incredibly handsome and a very flashy mover!  He is jumping approx 3ft and has been out hacking lots - he is a great to hack and canters on the buckle.    

Denzil will go far in the right hands and even though his sire is a dressage horse he would equally make a superb event prospect.

 I swore I'd never sell her but I'm finally giving any fans of fabulous mares a chance to buy her - she is gorgeous, great to hack, willing and enjoys her work in the school.  She also has a great jump.  

Goldie is in foal to Mylie - foal due 18th May 2008.  Mylie is a piebald ID x TB stallion - his progeny are known for having wonderful workmanlike temperaments.  He is also third in the event sire listings.

We stopped riding Goldie just before Christmas.  She is extremely well and will prove to be a fantastic broodmare and riding mare next year.
Goldie is 100% sound and open to vet.

Some may notice I have increased Goldie's price - this is due to having no current need or wish to sell again - but if the right home comes along I would let her go - maybe!

Archie on the gallops and at Larkhill (9/2/08) Archie has had his first run and will run again when we get soft ground.

This is a lovely model of a horse who I bought last April.  He was reasonably priced due to a tendon injury but he was quality beyond belief so I fired him and turned him away for a year.  He has been back in work since July and he is now cantering daily.  Ready to run in mid-feb Artic Fire should be a fun horse for pointing.  He was placed in three of his four starts in Ireland beating horses that have won under rules since.  

He has a great attitude during a race and we have some very impressive videos of his last runs in Ireland.
.  Whoever becomes involved in this horse is sure to have some fun this season and at his price he is an inexpensive investment..

I think this is a lovely horse and could be a serious horse under rules over 2.4miles.  However if I'm right we will have some fun first pointing and if he proves good enough will send into training next season.  He has a great attitude, fantastic jump and his pedigree shows he is tailor made for pointing/NH. 

Spud will hopefully start his campaign mid-feb.

We have a selection of horses for sale and the website is kept updated on a regular basis so please browse through this page.  If you see a horse you like then please call the office on 01367 820033 to arrange a viewing.  There is a school horse section where all of our school horses are for sale.  These are sold at a premium and some come with a four week buy back guarantee (conditions apply).

Due to the high number of e-mails received on a daily basis we are no longer replying to e-mail enquiries but we are happy to discuss your requirements on the phone.

I think it's important to be realistic with the price of horses and I am finding an increasing number of people looking for the following - 15hh to 15.2hh, between the age of 7 and 11, safe, sensible, good in traffic etc. priced between £1500 and £3500.  In my experience the market value for such a horse that is 100% genuine and sound would be £6000 plus.  With any kind of breeding and looks and hunted .... add more.  £3500 - £4750 will buy you an nice young half bred type horse, that has been broken properly and will probably be 4 y o - a well bred reg connemara for example will cost £6000+ - an 8 y o reg connemara competing and winning will cost you £9000+.

  If you do not have the funds and still want an nice gentle horse please find an older horse 15+ from a private family.  They maybe a little stiff and you may have to feed a joint supplement but you will have far more fun and be safer.  
I unfortunately rarely have this type of horse to sell unless it is a school horse.  Please do not buy yourself a 4 y o if you want safety.  At 5 y o they become 'teenagers' and if you are novice or nervous you are likely to fall into problems - this can be combated by keeping your horse at a good livery yard with a professional rider to help you.

We tend to sell genuine Irish youngstock that we break ourselves and produce for a period of 3 - 6 months.  
They tend to be 4 and 5 year olds, they are sound and open to vets, 

Private sale horses are not the property of Holistic Horses Ltd but horses that are at livery to be sold.  
I ask all clients buying horses from my yard to get them vetted and ensure the vet takes a blood test.
